This online exhibition has been made possible through a partnership with The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Toronto, which organized and circulated the exhibition Shuvinai Ashoona: Mapping Worlds, guest curated by Dr. Nancy Campbell with the collaboration of Justine Kohleal, Assistant Curator.
The exhibition was on view at The Power Plant from 26 January – 12 May 2019 and subsequently toured to the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Charlottetown, P.E.I. (8 June–15 September 2019); Leonard and Bina Ellen Art Gallery, Montreal, Quebec (31 October 2019–18 January 2020); Vancouver Art Gallery, British Columbia (22 February–30 August 2020); Yukon Arts Centre, Whitehorse (12 September–21 November 2020); and Glenbow Museum, Calgary, Alberta (6 February–15 April 2021).
The exhibition and tour are supported by The TD Ready Commitment, Major Donors the Schreiber Sisters, Anonymous, Canada Council for the Arts and Ontario Arts Council.
