In this intricate and masterful drawing, Ashoona depicts two figures holding up their mobile devices to document a tremendous pile of animal bones, including the massive skeleton of a four-legged animal. The figure in the lower left corner, who is pointing to the bones, appears to be documenting the scene on a phone. A building is partially visible in the upper section of the drawing, likely a summer camp cabin. Although encountering animal bones is not unusual in the North, here Ashoona transforms an everyday experience into an extraordinary event by depicting the remains of an extraordinary animal.
